Happy Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

We had a great dinner - it was deelish!

Summer's grandparents and dad joined us this year. We had a great time. Sarah is feeling a lot better (had mono for a long time this year).

Little David and I are way back there waving. Do you know what kind of a run that is back to the seat from the camera? David loved it.

The little man really dug into Thanksgiving dinner - of course eating has never been a real problem for this man.

Yes - that's me at the end of the meal. Thankful for all that we have - with family all around.

Happy Birthday - David is Two Years Old!

Happy Birthday David (2 years old)!

Does This Little Man Look Like
He is the Master of the Occasion?

We didn't waste any time. Instead of ending the meal with the birthday celebrations, we started with the cupcake (courtesy of mom - she baked a ton of them). He blew the candle right out. He knew what to do. All day we have been saying "Happy Birthday" and asking "Do you know it is your birthday?" and his response all day - a very controlled, albeit practiced, nod of the head (over and over again).

Sarah enjoyed the celebration with her brother. David had fun pointing at Sarah in the mirror (a second Sarah I guess).

What is the star doing over my head? Don't tell me it is a flash. It must have been a big candle in the background for David - that must of have been some big cake.

Well as you can see - it was a good time had by all. Thanks David for sharing your birthday celebration with us. We all had a good time. So long for now - another year - hard to believe. The little man is 2 years old.

Gym Time!

Gymnasium Day. Every Saturday at 9:00 am is gymnasium day for David. We are awake anyway trust me. The ritual begins at 6:30 - sometimes even 7:30 - with scrambled eggs, toast, and milk for David. Then time to play a little - maybe some guitar.
Suddenly it is 8:50 - time to run - and off we go! All the way across the street to Menlo Park's gymnasium. We jump, tumble, and climb. Then we have hoola hoops, basketball, and a lot of mat pads. Oh yes, there is the parachute time - its not what you think. Take a look below.

They just run around like crazy on the parachute, while we make ripples for them to stomp on. If he is still not tired, off we go to Stanford for a quick run.
Then it is time for lunch and maybe even a nap - but you never know. All you really ever know with David is you are in for a non-stop day! (But he is a fun guy to have around - energy but lots of smiles.)
