Mt. Everest - September 2018

Mt. Everest Trek

David and the family are going on a trek to Mt. Everest base camp.  We are taking all of September to do it.  It will take that much time, in large part, because it is 160 kilometers and, of course, the altitude.

David will attend 7th grade for a few weeks before the long hike begins. We are chronicling the adventure on a blog devoted to the Mt. Everest trek.

It is at Mt. Everest Family Expedition. The blog includes the prep work, from hiking to meds and equipment.

We will do our best to keep you updated on both the ascent and descent and, as much as we can in between, like the suspension bridges, gorges, tea houses, sherpas, (monkey) temple, and the bazaars. It should be quite the adventure.

ID Tech Again at Stanford

ID Tech

David finished another year of ID Tech at Stanford.  According to his instructor: “from day one, I’ve been impressed by your natural sense of game design and coding, both of which showed through your projects.”

David lives for these classes and can not wait until summer comes around to immerse himself in these tech classes. This is his 5th or 6th year attending ID Tech.  You can guess what he wants to be when he grows up - a CS man.
