Disneyworld May 2008

Magic Kingdom. Ok. We did it. We had a magical day or two or three. It was actually a lot of fun.

We had the little guy by day (and with the help of a babysitter while he was sleeping), we canvased the parks with special passes that minimized the wait.

Nightime was filled with the "adult" high speed or high acceleration rides, from the racing car to the house of terror (with the elevator drop a bit unexpectedly and erratically).

We also spent time at Epcot. The international flavor, the authentic buildings, and the great food were a real treat.

By the way, do you see a resemblance between the big dome and the little dome? Coincidence? I think not.

Speaking of domes, Summer got her head or I should say face painted. I am pretty sure they wanted to recruit her to join the parade. She said she was busy with the "boys" or maybe she said the "men" - really "big" men right David. In any case, she stayed with us as we went from one "magical" moment to another.

We also went to the Animal Kingdom and went on a safari. It was very cool. Along the way we strolled by a few friends. I am still trying to figure out why David would not go wading in the water with me while I was there. Seemed like plenty of rocks to sun ourselves on. Maybe I should have worn my glasses while I was there . Who knows. That kid gets spoked by the darn'dist little things.
David loved these tigers.

At night it was time to catch a carriage and they had some pretty cool carriages.

By the end of the day (or week in this case), we made it full circle. Sort of like the circle of life.

What you did not see the Lion King musical - Kakuna Matata - (translation: no worries).

Potty Time June 2008

A Milestone. Yes - it is official. The little man is beginning his marathon training - potty training. Check back with us sometime before 3 years of age and we should be really at the end of this journey.

He is actually doing very well. He lets us know when things are happening and then we run to the toilet. We made it this morning and this evening. Quite the achievement. Although he does not show it - he is proud.

Summer has the Elmo potty training disk going all the time in the car on the way to day care. He seems to like it - he loves Elmo - so what's not to like about potty training - right?

As I say, check back in down the road and we will keep you posted on this one. Just a minute - looks like it is time to get up.
