Skating in Slow Motion

David's Skating was a Dance to Behold

Today was a day like any other day.  We got up early for skating and off to the rink we went. 

But this morning was different for some reason. Maybe it was because we didn't have to rush to school.   David wanted to stay on the ice a little longer and he asked me to video him as he demonstrated his salchow.  He asked me to capture it in slow motion. 

It was a surprisingly pleasant dance on ice.  We both looked at it and marveled at the poetry in motion.

More than that it was a moment we could both enjoy without the rush of everyday life.  We stood together in our emotional mid-motion enjoying the mystifying moment together.
