Happy Birthday - David is Three Year's Old!

Happy Birthday David - November 21, 2009. David had a wonderful birthday party. What a surprise right?

It started with decorating the house with streamers and balloons. The balloons were the best as David helped Dad cut the string and hold the balloons steady as Dad filled them with helium. How many did we pop - don't ask?

David and Tracy started the birthday
by cooking up a few fun treats.

Suddenly the guests arrived and it was one heck of a wild party - really - that many three-year-olds. It was a wild party. Actually even thought it was busy and loud, the kids were very well behaved - no major accidents. No shoving, shouting or anything. Trust me as a parent these are the things you concern yourself with at these events. Were there a few tiny "accidents" -- nothing that could not be cleaned up quickly with a change of pants and fresh underwear.

Oh, but there was more. As we move out to the garage what do we find - we find the party was a real zoo. Really - a zoo - a petting zoo with pigs, rabbits, goats - you name it. The kids loved it.

Even the older "kids" loved the petting zoo. Sarah and her friend Deanna had a ball (and they are a bit older).

The party spilled out into the back lawn and then back into the kitchen. Sarah, David, and Deanna were engineers on this day - with Thomas the Train as the theme what else would you expect for more fun things to do?

The party concluded with Sarah drawing figures and birthday well wishes on the balloons. The kids didn't complain about the gift packages either. Who could blame them - a puppet, play dough, and crawly things.

We all went to sleep early that night. What a milestone - 3 years, hard to believe.
