Halloween 2009 - Sarah & David

Sarah Took David Out For Halloween. As you can see David was thrilled that his big sister was taking him out for Halloween. He talked about it all day in Google Day Care on Friday.

David waited outside on the porch for Sarah to come with her friends. He saw her in the Scarey Wild Max outfit and knew this was going to be his kind of fun.

Here is the line up. David, Sarah, Taylor, and Peter. What a gang starting the trick or treat journey on the front porch.

And off they go down our street in search of the good stuff.

David was very comfortable with the gang. We could hear him talking to them all the way down the street. Mom and Dad watched and were supportive but once he was off, he was off.

You could hear David explaining some topic in great detail as they walked down the street. His voice was very confidently as he walked down the street with his big sister and her friends. (He knew Peter from dinners and Taylor from our holiday get together in San Rafael - so he really felt comfortable and at home.)

David came home with a ton of loot. Sarah made sure he really cashed in. He tried a few things but, ironically, all he really wanted was the play dough. It was an unusual treat but it really hit the mark.

He put all the candy he collected back into the treat bowl for the other kids coming during the night. I think the fun was being with the grown-ups - not just any grown-ups - his big sister Sarah. A good time was had by all.

(Thanks Sarah from Dad, Summer & little David.)

Who would have thought of Halloween as a family bonding moment - but I guess that is what all rituals are really about on one level or another. See you next year.
